Tuition at The Landing School

Tuition, fees and estimates of additional expenses for each program are determined annually. Information about the tuition, program fees and estimated living expenses for the upcoming school-year is available in the Cost of Attendance form. A tuition deposit is due upon enrollment. The balance of tuition and fees is due on or before registration day (the day before classes commence for the school-year) at The Landing School.

Financial Planning and Assistance

Enrollment at The Landing School represents a significant commitment of students’ time and resources and, as such, deserves careful financial planning. The School is approved for participation in the U.S. Department of Education Federal Student Aid programs and administers Stafford loans, Pell grants and parent PLUS loans for those who qualify. The University of Maine Credit Union also offers alternative education loans to students at The Landing School. Application for these programs may be made any time prior to or during the school year.

Scholarships

The Landing School offers scholarship support to eligible students who have demonstrated financial need. A variety of scholarships are available via endowments to The School from private and industry supporters. The amount of these awards is determined by the school, and varies from year to year depending on available funds. Assistance with applying for scholarships is available by contacting the admissions office.

Veterans Benefits

The programs at The Landing School are approved by the Maine State Approving Agency for Veterans Education Programs for persons eligible for educational benefits (GI Bill) from the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Students who have questions about their eligibility should visit the Veterans Affairs website or call 888–442–4551. Students who request veterans’ educational assistance are required to have all previous post-secondary experience evaluated for possible transfer credit in order to be eligible for benefits. For more information contact The School’s admissions offices.

Refund Policy

Federally mandated procedures for return of Title IV funds (federal financial aid) and The Landing School’s refund policy are fully described in the Catalog Addendum. Return of Title IV Funds procedure and the Institutional Refund Policy are also published in The Landing School’s Enrollment Agreement. A pro-rata refund policy for tuition, fees and other charges subject to pro-rating is applicable to veterans and other persons who are recipients of educational benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
